THE BUDDHA

Hey readers! Today my post is about Siddhartha Gautama also knows as the Buddha. This is a super old story, so some of you might not agree with all the tales, but also feel free to research lots more about it!. Enjoy!!! 😁😁

In around 480 BCE or 530 BCE, in a town called Lumbini, a prince had been born to the king of the town. The baby had been born fully awake and able to talk! The baby was named Siddhartha Gautama and he grew up inside the palace, never coming out.

At the age of 16, Siddhartha got married to a princess called Yashodhara and had a son too. The next night, Siddhartha realized he wanted to see what his father’s town looked like since he was going to inherit it soon. So he sneaked out of the palace and saw four things he had never seen before: old age, death, illness and a holy man. After he saw those things, Siddhartha gave up all his riches and wanted to meditate until he saw the answer for why all the things he saw happened.

Siddhartha sat under a fig tree for six years, with no food and no water, until he finally saw the answers for how the universe worked and finally achieved what is called, ‘enlightenment’. From here on, he became known as the Buddha and spread his tale of how he achieved enlightenment. Now many people started following him and what he did in the hope of achieving enlightenment too. He started a relegion called, Buddhism and a person called Dalai Lama leads it today.

Siddhartha lived for 80 years and died when he wanted to. Buddhism is the only religion where people follow a person, and it is a religion where it is led by a person who is still living (Dalai Lama) or a person who is now dead (Siddhartha Gautama).

Thank you guys for reading this blog, I hope you learnt something about the Buddha! Have a good day!!!

Animations

Hey readers, today’s blog post is going to be about something I LOVE to do in my free time- animation. You may think about a flipbook when you hear the word animation, and they are kind of related. You can make animations with an electrical device (phones, iPads, laptops, etc…) or you can make it using pictures or paper. Enjoy!!!

1 – online

This type of animation is made online on electrical devices and are made with apps. I highly recommend using an app called flipaclip. It is the app I use to animate and it’s very easy to use it and it’s loads of fun! You can add music, pictures and shapes and loads more!!! You can also animate real videos by adding it in the frames/slides! I love flipaclip and if you want a beginner start for animating, I suggest you use that app.

There are also other apps for animating, I have not used them but it is one of the good apps to use. Some of them are- procreate, animation desk, paper and more.

2- stopmotion

This type of animation is called stop-motion animation. Basically, here, you take pictures of real-life things in an animating order. Like if you’re animating a cake, you start by taking a picture of a full cake. Then you slice it a little bit then take a picture of that, slice it more then take a picture of that, and so on. I have no clue what apps are really good for this kind of animation, but if you think about it, flipaclip could be great here as well! You just put pics in each slide/frame then you’re done. BOOM!!!!

3- flipbook

I think most people might’ve heard about this one. It’s called flipbook animation and you animation this with paper and pens. You just draw pictures on each slide and then flip the book to get a very simple but cool animation!

This animation is commonly done on corners of post-it note packs or the corners of rough books. Simple!!!

So guys, I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I hope you found some interest in animating and remember, the number one rule is… ALWAYS HAVE FUN!!! 😊😊😊

Overall, an animation is a sort of cartoon and you can make it by drawing things in slides/frames and I think flipaclip is the best animating app to use.

Here are some animations I made myself, from flipaclip!!!— WARNING- DON’T HEAR ON FULL VOLUME!

This animation is called random events as things lead randomly to something else!

This one is called dance and it’s a basic dance animation. it’s very quick so you’ll have to play it on loop.

World War 1 (WW1)

Hey readers! Today’s post is about a very emotional subject, war. But I’m not writing about war generally, I am going to be focused on world war 1. A War is when two countries start fighting and other countries take sides and fight too. Nations all over the world participated in WW1, causing lots of destruction.

World war 1 started in 1914 and ended in 1918. The two sides of the war were the Central Powers- mainly Germany, Austria-Hungary (back then Austria was known as Austria-Hungary as these two countries were joint) and turkey- while their enemy side was called Allied Forces, which mainly had France and Great Britain. In 1917, the United States joined the war and fought with the Allied Forces.

The spark that ignited WW1 was when Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were killed by a Serbian nationalist called Gavrilo Princip. After this happened, Austria-Hungary and Serbia became enemies and started the great war.

Here is a timeline of World War One:

Fun Fact! – The war started on 28 June (1914) ad ended on the same date, but different year!

The Allied Forces won the war and ended it by signing an agreement, which was called the treaty of Versailles, with Germany. By signing it, Germany had to agree to many harsh penalties: take full blame for the war, pay U.S and U.K a lot of money, many land and army losses, and other terrible punishments.

Many, many people died in this huge war and this is a very saddening subject to talk about. Well, I hope you learned something new out of this post or were just reminded about it.

How to make a paper butterfly!

Hi guys and welcome to a brand-new post! Today, I am going to be making a paper origami butterfly! 🦋 Just follow along with the super simple steps and in 5 minutes, you will be holding a beautiful butterfly in your hand. Let’s start!

Step 1- Make sure your origami paper is a square shape. Then fold it in half 2 times

Step 2- Fold diagonally twice now.

Step 4- Bring the horizontal crease down, so that it forms a triangle

Step 5- Make sure that you can see the two sections of the triangle. Next, fold one flap down and that should form a mini triangle (you should be able to see the other side of the triangle behind.)

Step 6- If you want the butterfly’s wings to be curved, cut the behind edges so that it is in a curved shape. If you want the butterfly’s wing to be pointy, skip to the next step.

Step 7- Take the down-facing point of your triangle and pull it backwards.

Step 8- Make sure you can see a little point behind your folded side of the triangle and then fold it forwards. If you want, you can glue the flap down too.

Step 9- Now time to decorate your butterfly! When you are finished, you have made a beautiful butterfly!!!

Thank you very much for reading! I hope you made a fantabulous butterfly!

Dinosaurs

Hi guys and welcome to another post!!! Today I am talking about dinosaurs; one of my favorite animals. I have done some research and I am sharing you the info in this post. If you are a HUGE dino fan like me, I am 99.9% sure that you will enjoy reading this! Happy reading!😄👍 Also look for jokes in blue along the way!

INTRODUCTION

Dinosaurs were among the first living beings to appear on Earth. They came to earth 243 million years ago during the Triassic period. They died about 65 million years ago and paleontologists say dinosaurs died due to geological changes which forced them to starve, but it’s also known as an asteroid wiped them out.

WHAT KIND OF CREATURES WERE DINOS?

Dinosaurs were reptiles as they had scaly skin, cold blood, and other qualities that reptiles had. They also were vertebrates (like us) which meant they were living beings with a backbone, for example, dogs and frogs. Dinos belong to the kingdom Animalia; which is the scientific name for animals.

CLASSIFICATION

To classify (sort) dinosaurs, you have to follow a few steps to get it right and there are two types of ways you can do it. One of the types is an easy way, first, you sort them into herbivores (plant-eating dinos) or carnivores (meat-eating dinos). Then, you just put them into their dinosaur types: T-Rex, triceratops, etc…

You can also classify them in a scientific method; you look at their hip bone shape and decide. if it has a pelvic shaped hip bone (which are shaped like elephant ears), this dino can be sorted into a category called Saurischia. If your dinosaur has hip bones shaped like birds hip bones, it can be called Ornithischia. That was another way to sort dinosaurs.

Q: What do you call a sleeping dinosaur?
A: A dino-snore!

How do you ask a tyrannosaur rex out to lunch?
“Tea, Rex?”

WHAT ANIMALS EXISTED WITH OR BEFORE DINOS? ARE THEY STILL ALIVE?

Many other animals that exist now were present back in the Jurassic time. They were mainly reptiles; reptiles came long before dinos did, so they are older than the Jurassic beast. Another type of reptile living with them was known as Plesiosaurs which is commonly known as marine reptiles; these were related to dinosaurs, but they were not a complete or proper dino.

Some fish were also swimming in the ocean millions of years ago. Some of these fish were sharks, sea stars, lobsters, green sea turtles, and more. Fish are a very old species of animals and they are a bit similar to dinosaurs- for example, they both have scales or scaly skin and many of these fish still exist to this day.

What do you call a dinosaur with an extensive vocabulary?

A thesaurus!

Birds too flew with Pterodactyls, but only some of them existed with dinosaurs. Scientists now tell us that after research, they discovered that birds were dinosaurs and they didn’t descend from them. You may agree or not agree with this, but it has been proven in many ways.

Plants existed for millions and millions of years and some of them even live now; plants like ferns and magnolias. Plants are amongst the oldest living things and they led to dinos and then it came to us. Now, this leads us to talk about insects. Most insects had wings; this was one way flowers were pollinated, pollen was moved around when the insects touched a flower. There is much much more to dinos but, if I write all of that, you will spend weeks reading it. So I hoped you enjoyed reading this post and to finish it, I am going to end with a lovely joke. Bye!!!!!!

What dino is the most scariest?

A terror-dactyl !LOL!
